Abstract: Since 2008，we have opened a new three-semester General Physics course with the Feynman lectures on physics as the text books for junior students in physics department of Tsinghua University.In this paper，we introduce the background and purpose of this course，teaching practice and experience，as well as the preliminary achievement.
